In additional to digital ready, one of the most exciting developments in television is the advent of High Definition television which gives you clear, crisp and vivid images and colours, and up to five times more detail than standard definition television broadcast. All of Toshiba’s LCD sets are HD TV Ready which means they are able to display pictures broadcast in high resolution, such as from programmes currently offered by Sky, Virgin Media and Freesat.

Toshiba is at the forefront of technological developments in the home entertainment industry and, among other innovations, has recently announced production of the first three dimensional television screens that do not require viewers to wear special glasses. LED arrays have also been utilised in some of the TV HD sets in our range, to take advantage of the energy savings they offer compared to the fluorescent lamps that are normally used to backlight LCD screens.
