| Between now and the end of 2012 the UK will be turning off all old analogue television signal transmitters and switching your signal to digital. Digital TV offers new ways to enjoy your television. You will have a greater choice of TV channels as well as access to additional features and services which will enhance your television watching experience. When the digital switch happens in your area, your older analogue televisions will no longer be able to pick up a signal. To keep your normal television service running, you will need to convert your televisions to digital before the switchover date of your area. |
 |
If you already have more than the five standard TV channels on all your TV sets, then you are probably ready for switchover. However, if you only have digital TV on your main set, you’ll need to think about converting any others.
When your home switches to digital will depend on where you live in the UK. All households with a Freeview TV or box will need to re-tune at both stages of switchover and from time to time to keep receiving channels and services. |
